How to Be The Consummate Thanksgiving GuestThanksgiving Day is coming. Will you be the guest? If so, why
not brush up on your etiquette?
When you're invited give an immediate reply (after checking with
partner if need be). It's become a time when some people
consider options and make a last minute decision, but you'll
score points if you accept or decline when asked. Your hostess
wants to know you want to be at her house, not that you're
waiting for the best offer.
If you decline, just say you've already made plans. If you
accept, ask ...

Stupidman Gets Colonoscopied Other than being Stupidman, I am probably a typical 50 year old
male. By that I mean I have a strong preference to avoid
personal medical issues.
My philosophy is if I feel ok I am. If I have a headache I take
something, if the headache persists I take more until the
headache goes away. If I get a sinus infection or strep throat I
go to a clinic, pay cash, get some antibiotics, take them, get
well.
Until two weeks ago I had perfect cholesterol (never tested), a
fine prostate (never checked) ...

Cell Phones Endanger ChildrenIf your child uses a cell phone, take note. A recent news report
has prompted renewed concerns about the safety of cell phone
use, especially by children.
In January, 2005, The National Radiological Protection Board
(NRPB), an independent research organization in the UK,
announced that they are now advising parents not to let children
under the age of eight use cell phones. Evidence of the
potentially harmful effects of cell phone use, the NRPB
explained, has become more persuasive over the ...

Online Games for GirlsIt is a myth that only boys love gaming. Companies have woken up to the realization that girls form a huge demographic for online gaming as well. The concept of gaming is all about playing and this is a universal thing that is common in both girls and boys. Since boys tend to be outgoing and demanding, marketers had always positioned video games and online games as products that boys love. However, they realized that girls are also equally interested in
play shooting games. Gone are the days ...

"Surreality" shows and deadly "Comedies"For those too engrossed (during the last week) by the latest hit
"surreality" show, "Harriet and Scooter", directed by those
entertainment wizards, the Compassionate Conservatives, the
following is a listing of some other shows that aired (but went
largely unnoticed) during the week obtained from
C-SPAN's CapitalNews. It's a partial compilation of
the work of the main subsidiary of the Compassionate
Conservatives- the Congress, which never fails to produce short
shows, generally unseen but with ...

Old Sparky! Needlephobia, Nerve Conduction Tests, andI felt queasy contemplating the nerve conduction test and
electromyelogram (EMG) I was about to have. The nerve conduction
test involves taping electrodes to the skin and sending a small
jolt of electric current to them. During the EMG, the doctor
inserts tiny needles into various muscles and examines the
signals displayed on a laptop screen to see how quickly they
respond to stimulation. These tests help to determine if there's
any nerve impairment or damage. Now, I'm in no position ...

DING DONG IT'S DECEMBER!
Or, time to get your buzzer fixed before friends arrive for some
good cheer!
Compiled by Lady Beatrice Blitterlees and edited by Lord Earl
Craboon
December is the 12th month of the calendar year. Time to wrap
things up, because whether you've been naughty or nice, it's too
late now. On second thought, perhaps the rotund fellow in the
red suit, with the white beard and whiskers will be the best
judge of that!
So, in the meantime, ...
